Benzoyl chloride, CAS 98-88-4, has a special pungent odor, soluble in ether, chloroform, benzene and carbon disulfide. Benzoyl chloride, CAS 98-88-4, is mainly used as organic synthesis, dyeing and raw materials for medicines. In pesticide industry, it can be used as a new inducible pesticide, the intermediate for Isoxathion and Karphos. In chemical industry, Benzoyl chloride, CAS 98-88-4, is applied to produce initiator benzoyl peroxide (BPO) and peroxide of tert-butyl benzoate. Besides, it also plays a role as analytic reagent for spices. It should be noted that Benzoyl chloride, CAS 98-88-4, has strong toxicity, which may irritate the eyes, skin and mucous membranes, therefore, it should be stored in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. The storage temperature is no more than 25°C and the relative humidity of the warehouse is less than 75%. Keep away from fire and heat, and separate from oxidizing agents, alkalines, alcohols and edible chemicals.
